Luminary is a creative learning hub for home-educated children aged 5–11, based in Hale Barns, Cheshire.
We run two days a week, offering hands-on, theme-based sessions that nurture curiosity, academic growth, and a love of learning.
Mixed-Age Group Learning
Our sessions bring together children aged 5–11 in mixed-age groups—a model supported by educational research and inspired by natural learning environments.
Mixed-age settings encourage collaboration over competition, allowing older children to develop leadership and empathy while younger ones learn through observation and interaction. This dynamic mirrors real-world social settings and supports emotional intelligence, confidence, and flexible thinking.
Children thrive when they learn with and from one another—and at Luminary, we see the magic of that every day.
We run two sessions per week every Wednesday and Thursday 9am - 3:30pm.
Children must be aged between 5-11 years of age and a minimum of one session per week is a required commitment.
We will run through out the usual school holidays (unless stated otherwise)
